Update 10 for Mike Pless (by Mike Pless):

Dr. Brooks is going to see if Dr El-Deiry thinks:

(1) it’s safe for me to go home

(2) the salivary stent can be removed now.

Pending what Dr El-Deiry wants, Dr Brooks said she thinks I’m good to go  - everything looks really good.

Quite a few sutures were removed from around my neck and collarbones and four on my graft.

She noticed immediately the difference in my mouth opening. So hurrah for the jaws of life tool!

Regarding final pathology report:

“Sounds like your tumor was bigger now than when they originally discovered it 5 vs3 cm. Margins were positive and then they went back and excised more tissue and seem to have achieved negative margins with no neural not lymphatic invasion which is a good sign it didn’t/won’t spread out of local area. Best I can tell is they are probably 90+% sure they got it all. (Nothing in medicine is 100%)” ~ Dr. John Touliatos, Official medical consultant for Team Pless

So am I cancer free?

It looks that way from the Final Pathology Report we have.

However, that official conversation will most likely happen on Mar 7th.

I've learned that because of the automated processes in MyChart, I often get the results before the doctor sees it. Again, patience calls out.
